September 21, 2018
The Missoula Conservation District recently completed the Healthy Riparian Guide: Conserving & Managing Streamside Vegetation. While focused on the Middle Clark Fork River Basin, this document provides an overview of riparian areas (anything relating to the corridor along the banks of a stream, lake, or waterbody) applicable downstream in the Lower Clark Fork and all of Montana. The guide also includes some common issues in riparian areas, helpful tips about what not to do in a riparian area, practices that can improve riparian health, and other related information.
